Hello everyone,
Thought I would check out what the big cats are up to - looks like fun!!
Hey guys, my name is Buddy and I am the new kid on the block. My brother and sister and I were the last lot of cute adorable furry ones that Mum and Dad brought up. Mum found a home for my brother and sister and I get to stay here... so obviously I'm their favourite!!
(Although Uncle Hugs says it is because I was too stupid to be put anywhere else - but what would he know?? I think he is just jealous because I am so little and cute.)
And I am not stupid - just very adventurous!! Although I will agree trying to share the dog biscuits when they were having their dinner possibly wasn't my best move. I didn't know I could run that fast... but I gave that dog a good swipe anyway - and Mum just stood on the veranda laughing her head off at me.
At least Dad cared enough to come and get me down from the tree.
Anyway, everything is all quiet out there... and I am bored. I should go see who I can annoy play with.
Talk to you all again!
Hey beautiful fans, Mr. Hugs here,
I have decided that the kittens are not so bad - or kitten anyway, as she found homes for two of them. We are now down to one extra, who is obviously staying. It could be worse, I guess.
And to make it all good - I have found a way to get even. I am teaching him every little trick I know, and he is driving them CRAZY! And I am laughing behind my paw, while trying to look innocent. I think Mum suspects that I am involved as she keeps asking what I'm up to - but she hasn't been able to prove a thing.
He is a bit of a bully though - and that has earned him a few good smacks from Mum and Dad. I also think he is pretty dopey as he doesn't quite seem to get the message, but it makes life amusing for me. Maybe that's because he had his head stepped on when he was little?
Our new problem is the two dogs in our backyard. I think they belong to Aunty Deb, and we have been told they won't be staying for too long. I'm just trying to figure out if we are locked inside to protect them or us??
Hey Guys, Smitty here.
Now I am behaving like Hugs...but I think she is crazy, finally flipped out is what I think!
She has spent weeks if not months telling me not to go over the fence as I would get caught by cat eating dogs - hmpf, as if I can't look after myself! Although, I have to admit, she had a point.... the hounds from next door missed me by that much last week - in fact, I think I lost some fur from my tail, they were that close. Probably only got away with it because I have a stumpy tail.
Now what happens? She has put two damn dogs in my backyard!!! Barking, teeth and all.
I have to ask myself, is she trying to tell me something here?? Because if so, just say it already woman - don't try and feed me to the hounds.
Mr Hugs here again - you know - the gorgeous one? However it seems that everyone has forgotten that little fact - and those squawking things are still here!! Only NOW they are mobile, and stealing my food. A fact that everyone seems to find amusing - everyone but ME!
One of the little rats took a bread crust right out from under my nose, and then hissed at me when I wanted it back! The barefaced cheek of it! They better not try that trick with my bacon, is all I have to say.
And although Mum and Dad said we could help discipline them, apparently just looking at me is not seen as a good enough reason to smack them around a bit. When I do, then Smitty is right there to cuddle the blasted little nuisances. Even Tabatha has joined the traitor ranks and is cuddling and washing them.
How much longer is this going to go on?? Am I the only sane one around this place??
Hi Everyone, Mr Hugs here,
And I want you to
know right up I am NOT happy. I don't know what has come over the
blessed woman - in fact, I am positive she has totally lost her mind.
We have three new
kittens here at home with us!! She darn well went out the other night,
and deliberately brought home three new screaming mouths to feed. I
have registered my profound displeasure with this situation as clearly
as I can - but no-one appears to be taking any notice of what I have to
say. And it is going to take a lot more than bacon to make this right!
Smitty, the damn
fool, is helping her with looking after them. He reckons the sooner
they are trained and old enough they will be gone. Cause Mum said so,
apparently. Did that happen with us, huh? No! Traitor, is all I can
say!
At
least Tabatha is showing some sense and staying away from the squealing
things. Good Lord, do they never shut up?? 1.30 in the darn morning!!
A man needs his beauty sleep, I tell you. It takes hard work to look
this good, and this situation is not helping at all.
My suggestions
for a solution are falling on deaf ears here, and now she seems to have
sucked Dad and Aunty Deb into her craziness.
What is a cat to do??
Hi everyone, Smitty here.
I'm doing well - both Mum and Aunty Deb are mad at me now. Mind you, I think it is partly their own fault, but hey, I'm not saying that to them. Not out loud anyway.
It all started when I was being teased by a PeeWee, one of those black and white squawky things - and Mum told me to leave it alone. Then she said I wouldn't be able to catch it anyway! Well, there you go - her fault, right there!
It took a little while, but I managed to grab the damn thing - and right then realised I had made a big mistake. That thing fought back!
I managed to get it halfway into the laundry but it sure wasn't easy. I was hanging on and it was flapping, squawking and pecking me. I was really glad to see Mum and Aunty Deb when they came running, not that I am going to admit that either. Mum gave me a good shake and I let go of the bird which flew off outside. I was put in lockdown and I have to admit, I was really glad about that - I didn't want to go out there with that devil thing waiting for me.
But I wasn't going to say that out loud where she could hear me - so I just spat out the feathers and stalked off with my tail up high like I didn't care at all.
When Mum told Dad, he got a big grin on his face and said "That's my boy" and gave me a big cuddle.
Hey everyone how is it going? Smitty here..
Sorry we have been out of touch. It has been pretty busy here... something called Christmas and we have also had a 'grandchild' staying. As well, Mum has not been at work - something called holidays - and we have had to keep her busy. That is hard work - I think we need a holiday now.
Christmas seems to be something pretty cool - it involves lots of food, and people to sneak us treats all the time. And lots of boxes with wrapping paper on it - they rip up really good too. Way cool!
Oh! - and a tree grew in the lounge room - that was really cool. Our own tree to climb and pounce through! And the balls on it kept Mum busy - we just had to keep throwing them off and making her chase them. That kept her occupied for a while.
Grandchildren aren't too bad either - they usually have food and are always up for a cuddle and hugs. And they let us sleep on their bed, whatever Mum says. They sneak us food as well, although I am not all that keen on the green stuff we get every so often. I don't think the grandchildren are either, so they give it to us. Blehh!
